I very much appreciated this post. Finding a second intellectual link to McGill is interesting. (Gérard Bouchard's socological frame for Diveristy issues and interculturalism was enlightening and intructive.) Back in the early 90s I beame enamoured with the sensemaking work of Karl Weick. Of late, I've been keeping tabs on David Snowden's work. Both of them have had a profound effect on my thinking and designs through the lens of safety/security, and approaching it as a SafetyEcosystem.com with a focus on sociological phenomena (Sociological Safety™).
